ACCOMPLISHMENTS

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EVERY DAY TO TRAIN?
What motivates me is the feeling of performing in a competition, the feeling of duty accomplished, but also to surpass my own limits as an athlete and human being.
DO YOU HAVE A PERSON WHO INSPIRES YOU?
In the beginning, it was certainly my brother who inspired me when he brought me to his competitions. Right now, no one in particular inspires me, but all the pros on the Ironman circuit keep impressing me.
WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS FOR NOT LOSING ENERGY DURING your races?
I try to eat regularly and stay hydrated. It's often easy to forget during an event, and that's why I prepare a strategy in advance, which I follow during the race. On the other way round, you have to be careful not to overeat. If our body has difficulty digesting it, it is sometimes better to give it a break and resume the strategy when possible.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST RACING MEMORY?
It's hard to say, but my qualifying race for the Canada Games where everything went well, or the last moments before crossing the finish line at my first Ironman in Tremblant, knowing that I had qualified for the world championships.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU LIKE TO DO AFTER A RACE?
Eating at a fast food restaurant. It's often my after-race ritual, no matter what my race result is.
What is your favorite music to surpass yourself in training?
I don't have a favourite style of music, but I can say that the song that allows me to surpass myself the most is definitely "Lose yourself" by Eminem.
What is your favourite Näak product?
My favorite energy bar is Choco Orange. I've always been a fan of this flavour.
