Näak Ambassador John Croom
"I was always told I was too big for cycling and that it wasn’t the sport for me."
I started cycling when I was 19 and weighed 300lbs - I was always told I was too big for cycling and that it wasn’t the sport for me. Which really just motivated me to strive to be a part of the sport. In 2017, one thing led to another and I ended up in Colorado Springs at the US Olympic Training Center and I was a 100lbs light looking to chase the Olympic Dream. 3 National Championships, US National Record and a Pan American Games Championship I would fall a bit short of my 2020 Olympic dream but that wouldn’t stop me. Now I am working at training for 2024 in Paris and I am excited to take Naak with me to Paris!
