Näak Ambassador Luca Papi
"Running has become my way of life, my way of being."
I started running in 2010, I was 30 years old, I was a volunteer firefighter and with friends from the fire station we ran the half marathon of Paris in February. I liked it and in June I ran the cross of Mont Blanc (23km 1500m d + 1500m), September the trail of red needles (50 and 4000) and in October the endurance trail of the Templars (stop at 80th due to injury) ... The following year I ran about 30 races, then 40 to 50 a year... Since the beginning with a friend (François, who lives in Gattino now) we have been running races like in the challenge vallée de la Drôme 125 on Saturday and 43 on Sunday!
I won some ultra since, and made some small sequences as the Transgrancanaria 265 +128km. For the future there will be a crossing of the Canary Islands (600km) and many other walks ...
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EVERY DAY TO TRAIN?
Running has become my way of life ... My way of being: it's natural to go out every day, it helps me in my balance.
DO YOU HAVE A PERSON WHO INSPIRES YOU?
An example could be Marco Olmo, still in great shape despite his age. And always on the ball, I wish I could be like him at his age.
WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS FOR NOT LOSING ENERGY DURING your races?
I eat well, I don't really have any tricks, it's mostly the mind that does the work, so I don't really have any big moments of decline.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST RACING MEMORY?
Perhaps my arrival at the Transgrancanaria 360 last year, and the welcome that followed with Vivien and Celine.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU LIKE TO DO AFTER A RACE?
Stay with my family and drink a beer.
What is your favorite music to surpass yourself in training?
Highway to hell 😊😊😊
What is your favourite Näak product?
I love all the bars, especially the Ultra Energy Bar Chocolate Sea Salt!
