WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EVERY DAY TO TRAIN?
The pleasure of being out in nature, preferably with my friends!
DO YOU HAVE A PERSON WHO INSPIRES YOU?
I really like the attitude of Courtney Dauwalter, an ultra-trail runner from Colorado. I think she's taking full advantage of what she's doing, as well as having some amazing results. She is always smiling, and spreads her good mood on the trails. In fact, all the people who manage to spread their good humour on the trails inspire me tremendously. For me, that's exactly what the trail running community represents.
WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS FOR NOT LOSING ENERGY DURING your races?
I love listening to music and staying energized throughout the race by staying on top of my nutrition/hydration plan.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST RACING MEMORY?
Hours and hours of racing with Mathieu Blanchard during the legendary TransAlpine, a 7-day stage race in pairs. We crossed 4 countries and more than 280 KM together, and we had the chance to see magnificent landscapes while meeting exceptional and inspiring people. Moreover, this race really forced me to push my limits and definitely took me out of my comfort zone. The good news is that now day races seem so short! (joke). I would definitely like to do a stage race again in the very near future.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU LIKE TO DO AFTER A RACE?
Drink a nice cold beer with my friends!
What is your favorite music to surpass yourself in training?
Very good question, my favourite song of the moment changes all the time. But one thing is for sure, my favorite song of the moment is always on repeat!
