ACCOMPLISHMENTS

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EVERY DAY TO TRAIN?
I have to admit that some days it's harder than others, but the pleasure I get from running on a trail is enough to get the upper hand. On the other hand, I've always liked competition so it's sure that the talent on the trails in Quebec is motivating.
DO YOU HAVE A PERSON WHO INSPIRES YOU?
Without a doubt, my coach at the Vaudreuil-Dorion Athletic Club is the one who has inspired me the most during my career. We have developed a truly unique complicity over the years and without him, I wouldn't be where I am today. I must say that the transition to trail running has not been easy for him to understand, but with time he is super happy to see the satisfaction that it brings me.
WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS FOR NOT LOSING ENERGY DURING your races?
Honestly, this is my biggest challenge. The solution is different for everyone but the important thing is to understand that low energy is part of our sport. I think you just have to accept that it's impossible to be 100% throughout the race, physically and mentally. On the other hand, individualized nutrition, adequate training and an intelligent running strategy will ensure that energy drops are better controlled.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST RACING MEMORY?
My participation in the World Junior Championships. It was my first international experience and it remains engraved in my memory. I ran the 800m.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU LIKE TO DO AFTER A RACE?
Thank the crew who supported me throughout the race. I also have an annoying habit of cramp as soon as I cross the finish line so it takes me a good half hour before I can walk "normally". Then comes the reward of a good cold beer with the other runners and those who came to watch me run.
What is your favorite music to surpass yourself in training?
That's something I don't do. It's the environment around me that allows me to push myself.
What is your favourite Näak product?
I'm looking forward to the release of vegan products ;)
