“DISCOVER THE BEST OF ME.”
I started at the age of 8 through my friend at school. We " trained " after school in extracurricular activities. Then I never stopped. I participated and was a medalist in 3 Quebec Games and then I did the Canada Games. I had the chance to participate in the Junior World Championships in 2014. Since then, I have been competing internationally at the elite level representing Canada. My goal would be to further my performance in the World Cups and to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EVERY DAY TO TRAIN?
To discover the best of me. Every day I try to get better and when I come home I know what to work on the next day, no matter what the sport!
DO YOU HAVE A PERSON WHO INSPIRES YOU?
When I was younger, it was Amélie Kretz and today I am lucky to have her as my daily training partner.
WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS FOR NOT LOSING ENERGY DURING your races?
Eat.It's not a bad solution. But I know that I need to eat and hydrate all the time so I don't suffer from a drop in energy.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST RACING MEMORY?
When I was younger and I had to qualify for the Canada Games. I was tenth and I managed to finish in the top 2 to secure my place. I was pretty happy that I didn't give up!
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU LIKE TO DO AFTER A RACE?
Eat. It's not complicated, I eat all the time! I like to have snacks to eat after training.
What is your favorite music to surpass yourself in training?
I don't often listen to music when I train. Sometimes I'll choose a list of music mixed with a fast beat to help training, but I don't have a particular song.
What is your favourite Näak product?
I love the chocolate banana, chocolate orange and Sea Salt. I also like the size of the bars and they eat well when it's hot because they don't melt in your hands!
