ACCOMPLISHMENTS

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU EVERY DAY TO TRAIN?
I use running to manage my daily stress. It's my own bubble that I use to cut out work and daily concerns. To push the machine, on the other hand, I need a race or adventure in front of me to motivate me.
DO YOU HAVE A PERSON WHO INSPIRES YOU?
I'm often very touched by stories of walking adventures. Much more than by the sporting performance side. But I must say that the people who inspire me the most are the elderly who continue to walk incredible distances. Another person who inspires me in our running environment in Quebec is Simon Benoit. His life management inspires me a lot. I recognize myself a lot in his vision of sport.
WHAT ARE YOUR TIPS FOR NOT LOSING ENERGY DURING your races?
Listen to yourself, listen to yourself and listen to yourself. Don't think supplies are three miles away if you think you need to eat now. Once you go to the dark side, it's long and painful to come back into the fun of running.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST RACING MEMORY?
During the Gaspesia in 2018, at the refreshment station Bench Corner after 106km. On the way back, the sun was setting and we took a walk on the beach with my wife and my dog. It was a real bubble of happiness that I thought about to finish and win the race.
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU LIKE TO DO AFTER A RACE?
Eat and see my loved ones! I think about what I want to eat when I arrive and the people I love waiting for me on the line. It's a great motivation to finish strong and a pleasure once the line is crossed.
What is your favorite music to surpass yourself in training?
French songs from the '90s. I have a nice playlist on spotify ;)
What is your favourite Näak product?
The Ultra Energy Bar Chocolate Sea Salt!
