Naak was born from a shared passion for outdoor sports, nature and healthy eating. Everything started in 2016 when William and Minh qualified for the triathlon world championships.
They tried to find healthy, performance-minded and eco-friendly nutrition options, only to realize that there was no energy bar on the market that was both sustainable and able to fuel long-distance workouts.
Following a discussion with their friend Antoine, who is passionate about food innovation, they decided to make their own bars.
Antoine came up with the idea to use cricket powder because it is rich in protein and has a minimal impact on the planet.
With the help of Julien Schoenborn, nutritionist and triathlete, and Louis-Philippe Breton, chef of Montreal’s Pastaga, the team worked for months to perfect a recipe that contained equal parts performance and pleasure.
Thus was born the smartest cricket-powered energy bar designed specifically for competitive triathletes. With Naak, step up your performance and have a positive impact on the planet.
